About

Kari Ashworth graduated from The College at Brockport in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Broadcasting and Public Relations as well as a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.

During her three years at Brockport, she served as a copy editor, news editor and executive editor at The Stylus, the student-run newspaper on campus. Ashworth was a SUNY Chancellor’s Award nominee and was admitted into the honor societies for  both of her majors as well as her minor of women and gender studies.

Ashworth has covered a wide range of topics, including breaking news, government and public meetings, nonprofits, events, politics and legal matters. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, taking spur-of-the-moment trips and spending time with her mom, ten cats and two dogs.
